Ava's Program

Ava's Pre-School program was last Thursday. We are nearing the end of pre-school and it has been a sweet time in Ava's life.

Dentist Drama

Ava and Jane's big trip to the dentist finally arrived this week. It was all and more Ava hoped for! Not so much for Jane. Grammy came with us to help out. While we waited...

...the girls played in the theater...

...played tic-tac-toe...

...Then came Jane's turn to get her x-rays...

Oh boy! She was not having anything to do with it. She wiggled and called the hygienist "mean" and "scary." So...no x-rays for her...none.

This cute sign welcomed the girls to their spot for cleaning...

First up was Ava...she savored every minute and didn't want to get up from the bench.

Jane made it on the bench with her sunglasses and that was the end of her visit. No pictures of the drama because I was holding her down so the dentist could at least pry open her mouth to make sure things were okay...and they were. She told the dentist "I am too big for this and you are scary."

The girls got their coins and traded them in for a prize. Just as we got in the car Jane said she loved the dentist. Ava said she wants to be a dentist when she grows up....Jane wants to be Elmo. Perfect.

We went for ice-cream to celebrate no cavities. :)

I think it's safe to say Jane won't be making a countdown chain when her reminder comes in the mail this Fall. :)

Tea for Two

We had a quick tea party before heading home yesterday...

We spent the weekend at the lake....The girls found lots of hiding spots for hide and seek...

We went out for ice-cream last week. The girls loved every last drop. ...Yum...

Imagination

The girls come up with some pretty cute scenerios when they play. We had to wash Jane's carseat last week...so Ava made a car and they played away.

She took Jane and the baby to TJ Maxx with handy paper plate steering wheel. ...Jane had her snack and book basket... When they came "home"...Ava put everyone to bed. It's hilarious to me that Jane stays so still as Ava reads books etc. Sweet, loving Sisters....most of the time. :)

We're Going to the Dentist....

in 34 days...

Ava LOVES her dentist so much that she wanted to make a paper chain count down when we got our reminder postcard in the mail. Jane is going for the first time with makes Ava double excited. I wish I could say I loved the dentist this much. It's like going to an amusement park at the pediatric dentist...they make it super duper fun! I say "yay" for oral hygiene!

Sick Girl

Sweet Jane was super sick last week...after spiking over a 104 fever, bloodwork, and more tests...she had a lovely combo of strep AND flu.

We are all on Tamiflu and everyone is just fine. Jane is back to her old tricks, which we all missed. There is nothing worse than seeing your child SO sick!

....So thankful to God for healthy children!!!!

Surprise Visit

Kristin and the boys came for a quick visit last week since Will had a day off from school. We had mega fun together!
