Christmas Lights

We went to the Fayetteville Square on Saturday night to look at the lights!
Everything was so festive and beautiful. There was music playing and lots to see and do!
Scott and Ava had to get a picture in front of the Razorback.

Ava, Pappy, & Grammy

Our Family

Pappy treated Ava to a pony ride before we left. She had a ball going around and around.

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving weekend at the lake!

Thanks, Grammy & Pappy! We Love You!

Gingerbread Friends

Saturday afternoon was a perfect day for baking cookies.
I started with a ball of dough....

....rolled it out (with Grammy's help) and cut out a gingerbread man.
.....Next, I put them in the oven (with Mommy's help) and waited for them to bake....
.....Last, we iced the cookies and gave them raisin faces....

They tasted so good!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent TG day and the weekend at the lake with Grammy & Pappy. Grammy always plans crafts for the kids. This year, we made apple turkeys....they were cute and delicious!

Growing Girlies!

Here are Ava and Isabella tonight and there they are below a long, long time ago....Barely walking and so teeny tiny! I thought this was a cute comparison in front of the same ottoman.
Oh! How time flies!

Happy Birthday to Grammy

Today is Grammy's Birthday. We celebrated with Jeff, Lorena, and Isabella. Isabella and I helped Grammy blow out her candles. We love you, Grammy! We will see Pappy very soon - he is flying in tomorrow for Thanksgiving! Yippee!

Fruit Leather for Dummies (Like me!)

Okay, I have learned a few things from my first attempt at fruit leather...... It comes out in one big sheet - so next time, I will roll it up in a piece of wax paper and cut it into skinny fruit roll-ups....I think it will be easier to store that way.

Also, I bought the no-sugar added Mott's strawberry applesauce to try out. There are so many different flavors. I am sure I won't be making this forever - but it is kind of fun!

Homemade Fruit Leather

I got this recipe from Bible Study last week...So easy and quite tasty too!

Ava loves any sort of fruit snack and this is definitely a cheap and healthy way to go!
Next time, I will bake 2 batches at the same time...12 hrs is a long time to wait for a fruit leather to bake! I also thought the all natural flavored applesauces would be a fun thing to try.

Enjoy!

Fruit Leather

2 T lemon juice

2 T honey

2 Cups applesauce

Cooking Spray

1. Pre-heat oven to warm - 200* degrees

2. Mix applesauce, honey, & lemon juice

Weekend Visit

Mommy, Daddy, and I went to visit my Grandpa "Great" this weekend. Mum and Papa were there from Texas and Aunt Vickie came to visit everyday. Grandpa "Great" moved into a retirement village this weekend. We helped move him in and decorate his new room. Is was a happy and sad weekend - but we know he will be extra safe in his new home with "around the clock" care - especially for Alzheimers patients. Please pray a little prayer for my sweet Great Grandpa tonight - we want him to feel safe and make new friends - he's the friendliest Grandpa Great I know - so that shouldn't be too hard! Grandma Great is recovering from knee surgery, so we'll take pictures together on our next visit. Here are a few pictures of our time together before the big move..... Sugar from Grandpa "Great" - He's pretty sweet!
