Three Months

Yesterday was Jane's 3 month Birthday! I treated myself to a bag of Dove dark chocolate covered almonds (my new addiction) to celebrate the occasion! Time is ticking by far too quickly with baby #2...We are enjoying Jane so much...she is such a happy girl!

Everyone is feeling much better around here.
Last week was one I hope not to re-visit anytime soon! ughhh!

Cooties

...we've got 'em...and you don't want 'em...

It all stared with an ugly round of pink eye last week. Just when we thought that was over, I got it in both eyes...not quite as cute as the picture above...tea bags were fun, but not terribly helpful!

With my pink eye almost gone, the stomach flu paid a visit to our house. Scott and I dealt with toddler throw up for the first and I am not looking forward to the next time. period. Enough said...ughhh! I do have a box of rubber gloves on my Wal-Mart list for "next time."

At 4:00 Wednesday morning, I got it and have pretty much been down ever since. Scott played Mr. Mom yesterday and did a fabulous job...laundry, cooking...the works! Thanks honey! Thankfully I am feeling better - just fighting high temps now. I am thanking the good Lord for blue frost Gatorade and saltines! Back to the couch I go...

Isabella came over to play yesterday. The girls had great fun beading and decorating star cakes. Fun times for cute little princesses!

Daddy-Daughter Dance

Ava and Scott went on a date to a Daddy-Daughter dance tonight ...she was quite excited and thrilled with her little wristlet corsage...

While Daddy and Ava dance the night away, Janie and I are enjoying a Friday night in our jammies!

State Farm is there!

Well, we had a bit of excitement last night. One of my very favorite shady trees bit the dust and fell smack on Nash and Nora's house next door. We are all so thankful that it didn't go through the roof...and we are also quite thankful for State Farm this morning!

On a lighter note, Ava is LOVING everyone being locked up and managed to get a pedicure last night...not too shabby...for a Daddy!

Ice Storm

We are in the middle of a messy ice storm around here! It's a perfect pajama day...we're having fun staying cozy!

We lost part of a tree in the backyard and are hoping not to lose more...I need my summer time shade! Trees are falling all over town...

Craig is in Ethiopia!

Janie Bird

Our sweet baby is changing everyday! I am trying to capture each little moment! Ava affectionately calls her "Janie Bird"& "Janie Cakes." She is Mother Hen around here and likes to take care of HER baby...so sweet...most of the time!

Little Miss Sunshine & Meeting Mia

In baby news, our Community Group met tonight and Jane hung out with her new pal, Mia, while the grown ups played The Newlywed Game which was quite hilarious. She is super cute and very smily! They are destined to be sweet little friends.

Day O' Fun

We headed out early this morning for Jane's 2 month appointment. Grammy took Ava on a little adventure while Jane got shots etc... As you can see, she was pooped by the time we got home. I love how she's still hanging onto her purse for dear life!

Jane weighed in at 10lbs 6 oz and is 22 in. long. She was a brave girl. Mommy earned a Starbucks for being a brave girl as well!!

Fun With the Easy Bake Oven

Aunt Kristin and William came for a super fun visit! We did all sorts of fun things. Ava's favorite was busting out the Easy Bake Oven. It's amazing (and scary) what light bulbs are capable of cooking. Today we chose sugar cookies.
