SICK...again

Well...here we go again. Ava has another bug. A very icky and annoying bug! We were supposed to leave for Texas today to see our family. As of now, we are staying home! We are very sad and are hoping for a speedy recovery!! The only highlight of Ava's day was getting purple gatorade! Cheap thrills for a sick girl!
Janie girl napped on and off all day which was a true gift to her mama! Luckily she is staying healthy...we are praying the bug leaves the rest of us alone!

What Not to Wear

This is the Ava I see when we're not out and about...so cute and so silly! Her beloved "lovey" from Betsy has torn - but fear not - Ava has turned it into a divine purse over her shoulder! She would totally wear this ensemble to school if I let her. I love my little fashionista!Ava's "Silly Face"

Three Months

Yesterday was Jane's 3 month Birthday! I treated myself to a bag of Dove dark chocolate covered almonds (my new addiction) to celebrate the occasion! Time is ticking by far too quickly with baby #2...We are enjoying Jane so much...she is such a happy girl!
Everyone is feeling much better around here.
Last week was one I hope not to re-visit anytime soon! ughhh!

Cooties

...we've got 'em...and you don't want 'em...

It all stared with an ugly round of pink eye last week. Just when we thought that was over, I got it in both eyes...not quite as cute as the picture above...tea bags were fun, but not terribly helpful!

With my pink eye almost gone, the stomach flu paid a visit to our house. Scott and I dealt with toddler throw up for the first and I am not looking forward to the next time. period. Enough said...ughhh! I do have a box of rubber gloves on my Wal-Mart list for "next time."

At 4:00 Wednesday morning, I got it and have pretty much been down ever since. Scott played Mr. Mom yesterday and did a fabulous job...laundry, cooking...the works! Thanks honey! Thankfully I am feeling better - just fighting high temps now. I am thanking the good Lord for blue frost Gatorade and saltines! Back to the couch I go...

We hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day!
Ours was filled with lots of love and fun...and kisses too!
Scott came home with everything to make s'mores last night. Ava had a ball roasting her marshmallows fireside! It was a fun treat to kick off the weekend!

Happy Birthday to Sissy!

Sisters function as safety nets in a chaotic world simply by being there for each other. ~Carol Saline

There is no better friend than a sister. And there is no better sister than you.

A perfect sister I am not, but thankful for the one I've got. - Author Unknown

A ministering angel shall my sister be. -- William Shakespeare

More than Santa Claus, your sister knows when you've been bad and good

Sisters annoy, interfere, criticize. Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks. Borrow. Break. Monopolize the bathroom. Are always underfoot. But if catastrophe should strike, sisters are there. Defending you against all comers. ....Pam Brown

Daddy-Daughter Dance

Ava and Scott went on a date to a Daddy-Daughter dance tonight ...she was quite excited and thrilled with her little wristlet corsage...
...she looks "painfully excited" here...seriously, she was one happy girl...
While Daddy and Ava dance the night away, Janie and I are enjoying a Friday night in our jammies!

Like A Good Neighbor...

State Farm is there!
Well, we had a bit of excitement last night. One of my very favorite shady trees bit the dust and fell smack on Nash and Nora's house next door. We are all so thankful that it didn't go through the roof...and we are also quite thankful for State Farm this morning!
...Here is our tree on Kelli's house...
...cleaning up...big truck thing-a-ma-jigs and all...
On a lighter note, Ava is LOVING everyone being locked up and managed to get a pedicure last night...not too shabby...for a Daddy!

Ice Storm

We are in the middle of a messy ice storm around here! It's a perfect pajama day...we're having fun staying cozy!
We lost part of a tree in the backyard and are hoping not to lose more...I need my summer time shade! Trees are falling all over town...
...My treat for the day...this stuff is GOOD!
...The ever-icy tree in the front yard...
...My sweet little girl freezing her little buns off...
