First Birthday Memories

My First Birthday was a great celebration with all my friends and family!

Fall Fun!

We haven't blogged in a very long time so my Mommy will throw in a few posts here and there to catch you up on the past several months.

Here are a few of my favorite Fall things. I went T or T downtown with my pals Jamey the puppy, Jonathan the lion, Oliver the zebra, and Spike as Peter Pan. Mommy also took me to T or T in the dorms. My cousin Isabella was an M&M! I saw Isabelle and Jake all dressed up! We had a blast! I was Daddy's little candy collector.

Another great thing about Fall is pumpkins. My Grandma Great made 3 soft pumpkins a long time ago and now they are mine to play with! Mr. Bear and I love chatting with them!

Thanksgiving, Cookies, and Christmas Lights

I had a most delicious Thanksgiving at the lake. Aside from Turkey etc... Grammy and I made sugar cookies with frosting a sprinkles. Since I am old enough, Mommy let me taste a cookie and boy was it ever good! We went to see Christmas lights with Grammy and Pappy. It is getting very cold where I live so I need my mouse cap to stay extra warm!

...And The Stockings Hung On The Chimney With Care

Grammy made special stockings for my family. We Love Them! I hope I'll find all sorts of yummy things in mine on Christmas.

Ava's Back

I'm so proud! Mommy and Daddy are high on speed...I mean on high speed internet. Now I can share life with you. We'll fill in the gaps as we go...but for now here are a few pictures of me and my Christmas tree today and a year ago. See how I've grown?

Party Planning

Okay, this Birthday update has taken far too long. Here's the scoop on me turning one!

Whoa! We had a busy, but super fun weekend. Mommy, Mum, and Aunt Sissy iced cupcakes all morning. I gave everyone a scare when I found the lid (which was very hidden in the trash) to the green food coloring. I did what every other baby would do and gave it a little taste...well let's just say I put the whole lid in my mouth. Next thing I knew Mommy was literally screaming because I had dark green oozing from both sides of my mouth. After a ruined pair of jammies and lots of rinsing---I got back to the normal me. Mommy regrets not taking a picture...but she wasn't so focused on my blog or her camera at the time.

Saturday afternoon, Daddy and Papa put my new table together. G&G Great and Aunt Vickie came for the party extra early for a visit.

Lucky me got two BIG naps so I would be extra perky for my party!

I'm The Birthday Girl!

Today is my BIG number 1 Birthday! We have had a weekend loaded with fun and excitement. First, my family came to visit---all Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins! Then I had a super fun party on Saturday night. We topped it off with a Birthday breakfast this morning.
Mommy has lots to tell you but it make take several posts. Today is official nap day because the fun is coming to a halt. If you've ever read The Napping House...that's just what we're doing!

Dinner With Friends

Last night Mommy and Daddy had dinner with some friends who live in Texas. I got to meet Ethan and Madelyn. We had loads of fun while the grown ups talked.

Someone snuck into Mommy's kitchen and spread dish towels all over the floor. Why is the baby in the house always to blame? I have no idea who could have created such a mess!

Papa's Tie

A&W Party

Last week Mommy and Daddy took me on another trip to Texas! We celebrated William's 5th Birthday! Mommy and I made him a special Kindergarten basket with all kinds of stuff 5 year olds need. I went to his swimming party and had a great time.

Since I am about to turn 1 , we also had an Ava and William party. We celebrated with A&W rootbeer floats--woo-hoo!!! No rootbeer for me and only a taste of ice cream...but fear not, I did get a biter biscuit---ughh!

Lakeside Bath

Here I am on the 4th of July taking a dip in my fun little pool on the deck. Mommy decided to combine swim time with bath time so I got my hair washed while I played.

Pure Heaven

It doesn't get much better than a bite of a fresh peach and vanilla ice cream!

Daddy's Mean Trick

Daddy thinks Isabella and I don't know much about windows. We were enjoying our view of the deck until he taunted us with a Rice Krispy Treat. We were licking the window just hoping to get a taste of that ooey gooey treat! Mean Daddy!

Highchair History

I got to eat in two very special highchairs in just 1 week. In Texas, I ate in the chair Mommy used to use. We went to the lake for July Fourth and I ate in Daddy's old highchair. Who ever knew highchairs could be so fun!

Shoe Fitting

We made a stop to Stride Rite to have my first official shoe fitting. As you can see, I am a bit of a wiggle worm. I got my first pair of walking shoes. Mum, Sissy and William helped me find the show that fit just right. Thanks for a fun day, Mum! I love you!

A Date With Betsy

I love my pal, Betsy. The 3 of us girls had a lunch date together. What fun!

Checking Things Out

Last week I went to Texas to see Mum, Papa, Aunt Kristin, Uncle Craig, and William. I like to check things out at Mum's house. I explored the living room while Mommy and Mum had coffee. Daddy, Papa, and Craig went on a fishing expedition and the girls (plus William) had 3 whole days to play! Woo-Hoo!

My Biggest Friend

I have just become pals with a great big bear who lives in my room. We hug and roll all over the floor. She wears a bib that says "Ava" because she drools just like me. I hope I'll be as big as Bear someday.

My BB

Most of you already know that I have a special blanket named BB. It stands for Betsy Blanket because Mommy's friend Betsy gave it to me on the day I was born. I take BB all over the house everyday (including the kitchen towel drawer). Today is Betsy's birthday and we want her to know just how much we love her! Happy Birthday to our dear friend! We love you!

Happy Da Da Day

Today was Father's Day and my Da Da and I had a super fun day. Mommy helped me wrap some special treats just for him. Among those treats were Haribo Gummy Bears. Daddy loves anything gummy and Haribo bears aren't too hard or too gummy..they're just right...or so he says. Mommy also helped me make my Daddy a Father's Day book. We are going to add to it each year so one day he'll have a special book all about us. My Da Da is the best one around. We have loads of fun together.

Play Day With Natalie

My friend Natalie came to play today. She brought a bag full of cool toys...big girl toys. I was introduced to a Barbie doll and toy food. It was really very exciting. We had a great day. Here we are in my room holding my pink bunnies. I can't wait for Natalie to come for another visit.

Bath Time Gone Wild!

Lucky me got two baths today. The first one was relaxing, as usual. My hippo friend cleaned me and I was fresh for the day. Tonight, Mommy and Daddy decided to give me another bath after the wedding. I was having a great bath until I got the sudden urge to leave a "deposit" in the tub. YIKES! I was completely covered in soap...hair and all. Mommy swooped me up and ran me into her bathtub while Daddy dealt with the "deposit" with bleach and other goodies. We didn't post a picture of bath #2....a little gross for blogging or picture taking.

A Beautiful Wedding

Today Mommy and Daddy went to Rob and Jessica's wedding. It was beautiful!! I got to tag along for the reception. It was so much fun! I am in search for my dropped cracker in this picture. Congratulations to the happy couple! I Love You!
